Vicki Denise (Carter) Cunningham

Vicki Denise Carter-Cunningham was welcomed into this world on July 8, 1967, in Fort Lauderdale , Florida by her late parents, John Roberts and Deleria Carter. There were a total of four siblings, Tracy Williams, Michael Roberts and Emmarie (Mona) Roberts. Mona and Michael Roberts proceeded her in her death.

She graduated from Fort Lauderdale High School. She also accepted Christ at a young age and has always had a relationship with God. She attended Shaw Temple AME up until her death. She also worked as a Behavioral Specialist for years helping clients who struggled with their addictions because that was near and dear to her. 

She grew up in Fort Lauderdale and made lots of friends along the way. She was known for her infectious smile, laughter and jokes. She devoted her life to loving her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She spent lots of quality time with her children and grandchildren, and they will be left with many memories of her. She loved to play spades “cards”, or fishing with her kids along with her husband, Daryl, who she married in 2008. Her grandchildren held a special place in her heart and she always went above and beyond for them. She loved attending all of their school events, birthday parties, sporting events or just simply being there for whatever they needed. She even cared for them while in her later days, while dealing with her own health issues. She truly was a soldier and continued to fight up until her last day on June 16, 2022. 

Vicki leaves to cherish many memories: Her husband Daryl Cunningham, her children Latoya Aiken, Tiffany Aiken, Gaston (Scooter) Aiken III, and Jonathan Aiken. Stepchildren Shadaria Cunningham, Shaquesha Cunningham, Jasmine Attaberry, Darryl Cunningham Jr, and Vondarious Cunningham. Brothers, Tracy Williams and special brother Tony Roberts. Grandchildren DeAndre, Jakayla (KK), Jonathan (JJ), Isaiah, Khloe, Jayla, Kourtney, Royalty. Her only sister’s daughter/special niece Janae. Mother in-law Freddy Mae Wilson. A host of nieces, nephews and cousins, in-laws, as well as other relatives and friends.
