March 26, 1956 ~ July 28, 2023 (age 67) 67 Years Old
On March 26, 1956 in St. Augustine, Florida, a beautiful baby boy was born to the predeceased Rev. Edward Gelsey and Virginia Burch Gelsey.
ATIME TO LIVE...
Tony was educated in the Broward County School System. He was a graduate of Plantation
High School, class of 1974. He had a passion for cooking and received a certificate in the
Professional Culinary Arts Program after attending a Vocational School. He also worked as an
Apprentice along side his father for many years. He was a member of the Welcome Baptist
Church in Oakland Park, Florida for many years.
A TIME OF DEPARTURE...
On July 28, 2023, God saw fit to send an Angel to bring our Beloved Tony home. Although we
mourn the loss of our brother, we take solace in knowing there is no more suffering.
To cherish his memories, he leaves behind a host of relatives: A Blended family of Four sisters:

Curtiss Gelsey, of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Cecil White of Moultrie, Georgia, Dana (Brigette) Broxton,
of Atlanta, GA, Brian (Jackie) Broxton of Delray Beach, FL., Five Aunts: Louvenia (Ray) Cullar of
St. Augustine, FL., Mary Washington of Jacksonville, FL., Betty Gelsey of Fort Lauderdale, FL.,
Dorothy Williams of Orlando, FL., and Dorothy Hall of Boca Raton, FL., One Uncle: John Burch of
Delray Beach, FL., and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that will miss Tony.
