Shirley Jean Olukolu was born on January 10, 1955 to the late Lucy Turner (Branch) and Willie Branch, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
She began her education early where she attended Sunland Park Elementary and Everglades Middle. She graduated from Fort Lauderdale High School in 1973.
Shirley later attended Broward College, where she met Olusoji Olukolu and was united in matrimony. She was employed with Broward General Medical Center as a LPN nurse and also worked at several doctor offices.
She later became a Florist, she owned a flower shop at the old Coral Springs Mall at the corner of Sample Road and University Drive. Shirley was also a successful salon operator and a Hairdresser.
After eleven years God finally blessed Shirley and Olusoji with their daughter, Jasmine Temitopē Olukolu.
Shirley was a phenomenal sweet and kind hearted person. We will miss her presence, smile and sense of humor.
On Friday, October 13, 2023, Shirley was called home to be with the Lord.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Lucy Turner ( Branch) and Willie Branch, Sisters: Elaine Thurmen and Joyce Ann Davy, Brothers: Dallas Branch and Michael Wilson. Her long time friends: William Brown, Bernice McLemore Harris, Dora Parks Coon.
She leaves to cherish her memories, A loving daughter: Jasmine Temitopē Olukolu, her brother: Ronald Wagner, her companion: Gregory (Greg) Tamburino, And a host of nieces, nephews, relative and life long close friends.
