Roosevelt Savage was born October 6, 1935, in Williston, SC. He was the son of the late Deacon Paul Savage, Sr and Mrs. Lizzie Parson Savage. He departed this life on March 17, 2024 at home with his loving wife, daughter and granddaughter Breshawn.
At an early age Roosevelt joined St. Peter Baptist Church in Elkoy, SC. Roosevelt was employed with the City of Ft Lauderdale, FL and retired after working there for over 35 years.
Roosevelt was United in Holy Matrimony to his lovely wife Dorothy Anderson Savage, in Ocilla, Georgia. To this union two children were born Tony and Demetrius Savage. He was preceded in death by his parents, Deacon Paul Savage, Sr and Lizzie P Savage; 6 Brothers, John Savage, Sammie Savage, Sr; Leon Savage, Sr, Hosey Savage, Sr., Paul Savage, Jr., and William Savage, Sr. and 4 Sisters; Julia Glover; Katherine Bing; Georgia Benton; and Mattie Savage.
Roosevelt leaves to mourn his loving wife of 45 years Dorothy Savage, 5 sons, Roosevelt Savage, Jr.; Kevin Savage (Sherry); Calvin Savage (Silvia), Tony Savage; Harold Blades, 9 daughters Sharon Savage, Laverne Savage-Pierce (Walter); Demetrius Savage; Debra Blades; Denise Gillyard (Charles); Robin Blades; Renee Irving (Garrett); Valerie Wellington; and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren, nephews, nieces and cousins.
