Johnisha Mitchell

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Johnisha T. Mitchell announces her untimely passing on November 25, 2024, at the young age of 33. Johnisha was born on August 16, 1991, in Hialeah, Florida, to her loving parents, John R. Mitchell Sr. and Clarica L. Jefferies. A cherished resident of Miami-Dade County and Fort Lauderdale (Broward County), Florida, Johnisha was known for her vibrant personality and her devotion to family and friends.

After graduating high school, Johnisha pursued her passion and built a career as a Phlebotomy Technician. She was a woman of grace and determination, known for her bodacious love of self-care—especially her HAIR...lol.  She ensured it was always on fleet, no matter what life threw her way. Johnisha’s greatest joy came from being the proud mother of five beautiful children: Darius King (13), Jo’deci (10), Jorden (9), Timothy Jr. (7), and her beloved princess, Ms. Bella (4).

Johnisha faced life’s challenges with resilience and unwavering diligence. Though she fought valiantly, she transitioned on November 25, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and faith. She now soars as an angel in heaven, reunited with her little brother, Fritz, her grandfather, Clyde E. Kingcade Jr., her great-grandparents, her uncle Randy C. Spencer, and a host of cherished relatives who preceded her in death.

Johnisha’s memory will forever be cherished by her parents, John R. Mitchell Sr. and Clarica L. Jefferies, and her children: Darius King, Jo’deci, Jorden, Timothy Jr., and Bella. She also leaves behind her siblings: John Jr., Chucky Jr., La’Tee, Johnathan, Lorenza, Ni’Yera, Clifford, Frankland, Di’Auntae, Ja’Ssiah, Khalid, and Dorisha. Her grandparents, Doris J. Reed (Johnny) and Marguerite and Joseph Mitchell, as well as her devoted aunts and uncles: Rosemond, Omar (Adriane), Princess, Jeanette, Eloise, Cynthia (Eric), Alfred (Debbie), Michael, Nelson, and many great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins, and friends, will all remember her fondly. Johnisha shared some of her happiest moments in life with her longtime companion and best friend, Mr. Timothy Barlow.

Johnisha T. Mitchell will reign in heaven as a guardian angel, watching over her children, siblings, parents, and loved ones. Her spirit will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.
