Harry Bernard Lakes, was the son of the late Handy and Willie Mae Lakes, was born on February 26, 1960 in Fort Lauderdale, FL. He quietly slipped away into the arms of the Lord on July 25, 2022.
Harry attended Dillard High School and graduated in the C/O 1978, and was a member of the basketball team. Harry loved his Dillard family and especially his classmates, enjoying celebrating and grilling doing the homecoming tailgate parties. After high school Harry served in the US Military for four years, returning home to drive trucks for Haines Meat Company. In 2002 he begin a career with The Broward County Schools until 2019 when he feel ill. Harry was a diehard fan of The Pittsburgh Steelers. Harry love hanging out with his family and friends.
He leaves to mourn two daughters Tamara LaShea Lakes, Shantel Robinson, one son who preceded him in death Taurian Bernard Lakes; grandchildren, one preceded him in death. Four sisters, Eva Clay (Joseph) of Ft Lauderdale, FL Angela Profit of Fort Lauderdale, FL Queen Duncan of Huntsville, Alabama, Laura Wright (Kevin) of Lilburn, Georgia; two brothers Roosevelt Owens and Andre Lakes both of Fort Lauderdale, FL Three special aunties, Maeida Brown, Virginia Smith, Cassandra Bennett; host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
