Gladys Hawkins Robinson was born July 19,1949 in Albany, Georgia to Mattie Lee and Arrie Lee Hawkins who preceded her in death.
Gladys was an honor student during the integration period in which she was one of the first four blacks to attend Fort Lauderdale High School. She also attended Miami Dade Community College.
Gladys was an amazing mother to four children, which she loved dearly. She loved fishing, traveling, dining out, watching television, and talking on the telephone. But most of all she loved serving the Lord.

On June 23, 2023, the Lord called her home for eternal rest and peace. She leaves to cherish her memory: Two sons: Christopher (Marion) Robinson and Leonard (Lurine) Cornelius, Two daughters: Tonya and Kiechika Cornelius, One brother Roy Lee (Carolyn) Hawkins, Two sisters: Janice McGee and Sandy Thomas; Twelve Grand kids: Christopher, Antoinette, Iyanza, Zumartrae, Christina, Zakeya, Jahmi, Juliana, Corey, Stephanie, Stephen and Leonard; Four great grands : Christopher Jr, Chloe, Rehniya , Rozariah, Remiyah , Amari and a host of sorrowing relatives and friends.
