Demetrias Meechie Jones

Demetrias Jones affectionately known by her loved ones  as "Meechie", was a caring mother, grandmother, sister, daughter and friend. She left this world suddenly on January 7, 2024 at age 52, while at home.

Demetrias was born in Fort Lauderdale Florida on December 21, 1971 to the late Frank Stone Jones and Lynether Williams. She was fathered and raised by Jesse Williams.

Demetrias had a passion for living life and good times. She attended school in Broward County, and worked as an “Environmental Service Aid” at Florida Medical Center. She was fun-loving and quick with jokes. To know her was to love her, and everyone can attest to that. Meechie was as real as they come and because of that she was called "Tootsie Junior", those who know, know.  She had a soft spot for her family, that was the most precious thing to her. She brought joy to those around her. She was bigger than life itself. Her nurturing spirit touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her. From the warmth of her smile to the wisdom of her advice, she remains a source of inspiration. She will forever hold a cherished place in our hearts. A beautiful soul whose memory we honor with gratitude and love. She will truly be missed. Gone but will never be forgotten.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her loving family; father, Jessie Williams; her children, Toni Savage and D'Andre Jones; her two grandchildren Caleb Savage and Makayla Harvey; her sisters Sonya Graham(Leroy), Denise Williams, Margaret Lewis, Sharon Skinner and Regina Griffin (Marvin); her brothers, Frank Stone(Amy), Paul Williams, Jesse Williams(Jackie), Vincent Williams, Kevin Williams, Christopher Williams and Wendell Williams(Crystal); god-brothers, Ivy Halloway, and Morris Jones.  Recently reunited with siblings, Pharaoh Stone (Toni), and Carmella Tidmore. With a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and extended family.
