On September 2, 1964, Carlton George Scott was born to Kenneth Scott and Cynthia Lowe in St. Catherine, Jamaica. Carlton, affectionately known as Dave to his loved ones, was a fun, caring person with a heartwarming smile. He was known to be a peacemaker with the kindest of spirits and intentions. He would go the extra mile to comfort anyone in need.
Dave was a strong, loyal and loving father who provided for his family by starting up his own small business, working as an HVAC technician and entrepreneur. A jack of all trades, he utilized his skills and education to also serve as a plumber, electrician, carpenter, and other mechanical roles. His creative passion in life was showcased through his expertise in playing the drums, him and his band crew booked little gigs, playing Barres Hammond, Dennis Brown, Peter Tosh just to say a few. He took great pleasure in creating music from a very young age, often making beats on any surface within reach.
Of all his accomplishments, Dave’s greatest pride was the family he created and loved so dearly. He truly will be missed by his children Carlton Jr., Asha, Sasha, and Annastasia, and his stepson Jahmala, granddaughter Zoey. Dave also leaves behind his devoted fiance of over 20 years, Caroline Njeri, along with his six siblings, Michael, Donna, Christina, Herta-Ann, Mitzy and Paul. He will be greatly missed by a plethora of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. We find great comfort in knowing that he is now home with his Heavenly Father and finally at rest.
