Alfred Brian Smith, Jr.

On Saturday, May 7, 1988, Alfred Smith Jr. was born in Nassau County, NY to the parentage of TwiIlette "Patsy" Gilbert and Lonnie Poindexter. He soon became affectionately blown, to those who knew him, simply as"AJ".

AJ received his final academic education in Westbury, NY and was (and yet remains) loved by those who were fortunate enough to have known him and been allowed into his circle. A.J. will always be remembered for his realness, charismatic personality, and strong character. His presence brightened up any room he was in, and he was seen by those who hung around him as always being the life of the party.

AJ leaves to cherish his memories, a loving and devoted mother: Twillette 'Patsy" Gilbert; two fathers: Alfred Smith. Sr. and Lonnie Poindexter (Biological); four beloved children: Jameir. Sarae  Lila and Nasir: two co-parents: Shevone Moses and fiancee, Anasa Reede (Smith); nine treasured siblings: Joshlyn, Jason, Ajhania, and Johnelle, along with Obe, Lonnie, Deandra, Shantell and Kendra; and one godmother: Alicia Jackson Noble 

AJ will be forever loved and greatly missed by his maternal uncle: Bishop Leon Gilbert; maternal aunt: Dr. Lucille Hargrett; great uncle: George Baldwin; special cousins: Michael McQueen, Corey, "Fudge Da Don", and Kelly James. His memory will also live on in the hearts of a host of other uncles, aunts, cousins, relatives, and friends.
